WHY SHOULD I GO?
- International Orientation is designed to serve the needs of incoming international students, missionary kids and third culture kids as they transition into "a new world".
- The new students will have a chance to meet peers who are currently at Taylor that have had experiences that the new students will experience.
- The current international students are instrumental in welcoming the new students to campus and helping them get settled because they have been through all that process and are capable of helping you more than anyone!
WHAT WILL I GET?
When students arrive on campus for IO, you will visit the registration desk to receive the following:
Taylor ID
Room Key
IO T-shirt
IO Schedule
First Semester Class Schedule
SEVIS registration (F-1 Visa holders only)
Bank resources
Health Insurance
During orientation, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Ask questions
- Be encouraged & grow in your faith
- Build relationships with others
- Check out opportunities to work on campus
- Meet key administrators, faculty, and staff
- Open a local bank account
- Participate in fun activities
- Prepare for transition into college life and a new culture
WHAT WILL I DO?
The schedule below is just a draft of some of the things you will be doing during International Orientation and it can be subject to slight changes. Due to security reasons, we are not allowed to insert the place where these events will be held - which is why you will receive a complete schedule as soon as you get to campus!
